DRESS NO.2
which one do you guys like more??
i have a lots of time before i need to find a hair place. who knows, maybe i'll just use the lady that cuts our hair. she's fantastic when she cuts our hair and also wonderful with perms! (although i don't have mine anymore)
nyc ladies. any suggestions for hair places? which ones of these hairstyles do you like the best? if you have any simple but elegant pictures for updos please link me!
fantastic excerpt from one of my fav blogs to read:
Get high tech. Spend the forty bucks to splurge on wedding planning software like Smart Wedding 4.0
that keeps track of things like spending, guests, seating,
appointments, vendors, and gifts. It’s like having your very own
wedding planner…except this one won’t push you into buying nasty little
packets of stale Jordan Almonds.Go to the library. Or better
yet, to one of those bookstores that have a little cafe and will let
you read books like Denise and Alan Fields’ Bridal Bargains: Secrets to Throwing a Fantastic Wedding on a Realistic Budget while drinking a latte.Be
confident in your ability to find the perfect dress for less. Don’t
feel you have to settle for retail prices. Surf the Internet
classfieds, check EBAY, visit sample sales, consider checking your
local Salvation Army or Goodwill outlet, and look for knockoffs.
Sometimes having an original dress handmade by a tailor can be less
expensive than buying it off the rack. Making your own dress with help
from books like Susan E. Andriks’ Bridal Gowns: How to Make the Wedding Dress of Your Dreams is also an option.Instead of booking an expensive hall, consider letting mother nature host your wedding. She has wonderful taste in colors!
Finally, use any resource you can. Plenty of Web sites, such as Brilliant Wedding Pages,
have oddles of money-saving tips and tricks that will help you choose
favors that are so fantastic, a dress that is so divine, and a setting
that is so sublime that no one will ever know you’re a budget queen.

i have no more links. just lazy and tired. i can't sleep tonight. meh.
i was so set on this dress but i'm debating especially since the price is way over my budget.
so there are a couple dresses:
i'm not really that picky but it is a wedding dress. the good part is all these dresses are pretty on me. (thank goodness) so i guess it all depends how dressed up i want to be. i really do love the original dress that i was going to get but it's $1000..... so the other dresses are a lot more appealing. *sigh* but whatever. it's all good.
which ones do you guys like?
bridesmaid dresses i'll try another time. the original one that i had was very similar to my original dress. so i guess i'll have to figure out what i want to wear first then their dress.
kind of going through some hard times right now but this stuff is making me happy. plus i'm generally a positive person so i'm alright -
"My bounty is as boundless as the sea, my love as deep; the more I give
to thee, the more I have, for both are infinite."
William Shakespeare
any suggestion people?
i was thinking little boxed candies with pretty ribbon stacked in the center of the table.
another are pretty cookies wrapped indiv with ribbons stacked in the center of the table.
i want something that isn't too expensive since the cost of the wedding is already high!!! oyyyyy........
do flowers float? roses? hehe
hello our names are annie & wilbur and we had our first registry experience at macy*s and he got trigger happy and annie got appliance happy.
we got things mainly for our new apartment. to actually start a collection of things we want for the start of our marriage. we got everything from silverware, glasses to whatever else there is..... and we got a great print out. a good start!
we came home to check online.
no record.
*gasp*
we were thinking maybe if we sign up online and it'll show our registry.
*gasp*
nope.
so we added more things... and had fun looking online....
but.....
it only recorded half of it.
meh. oh well. we'll call and ask them about it some other time. at least we have a print out.
we also went to search for wedding bands. fun
power's back now! and i can finally update!
i met with darlene in whole foods/flower dep. she gave me a pretty reasonable quote. but i don't know what is better, pay a bit more for flowers that are made for you... or make them myself? i'm thinking that i might make them myself. the only thing i need to worry about is making the pew decoration that i'm hoping to double as center pieces.
also the kind of flowers. i really like this flower that is called stock:
i also went to another florist that is really close to our apt.
woodside florist
the lady is a korean lady and she's super nice. it was nice to be able to talk in korean to her and really get her opinion. she's a lot more expensive than darlene. but darlene doesn't deliver and woodside does.
i'm in a dilema. i think i might make the flowers myself but i will have a practice session hopefully in the near future to see if it is possible to make bouquets.
*sigh* it's stressful but it's good stress. i enjoy it and it's fun to go around trying to plan things!
hope you guys are well. the power's back on for us and i'm so happy.
my area doesn't have power. it hasn't had power in 5 days.
no hot water, no cable/internet... i'm in the city now to check.
i hate it. meh.
but thank you to roger who let us shower at his place everyday! haha you're the best!!
meli too! thank you for offering!
ps: met with the florist today... it was good - but i think i can make the stuff i like myself. we'll see.
we put in a deposit for a dj + mc today. it's a refundable deposit for 2 weeks and after that we gotta keep them.
so for those of you in the nyc area and our wedding party... if you can think of some awesome djs that happen to be reasonably priced please let us know! (pref before 2 weeks from now)
thank you!
g'nite
